The Chesaning Indians fell 5-4 to the Brandon Blackhawks on Saturday despite out hitting them nine to two. Brandon jumped out to a 3-0 lead after scoring three runs in the top of the third inning. Chesaning responded, scoring a run in the bottom of the third. The Indians then took the lead 4-3 scoring three runs in the bottom of the fourth. Brandon then answered back, scoring the go ahead runs in the top of the fifth to take a 5-4 lead. Chesaning was unable to score in the bottom of the fifth to make the final score 5-4 in favor of the Blackhawks.

Jacob Zyrowski took the loss for Chesaning. Zyrowski went two innings, giving up two runs on one hit, striking out two and walking two. Brady Sager opened the game on the mound for the Indians. Sager gave up zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out five and walking two. Adam Woodcock also pitched one inning and allowed one hit, three runs (one earned run) and two walks.

With the loss Chesaning’s record drops to 16-4 overall.
