Chesaning completes the sweep of Merrill by winning game 2, 20-1. Eli Keck earned the win for Chesaning. Keck allowed three hits and 1 unearned run over three innings, striking three and walking two. With the win Keck improves his record to 3-0. Jacob Zyrowski came in for relief and pitched two innings of shutout ball for the Indians. Zyrowski allowed no hits, struck out four and walked one. Chesaning collected 17 hits in the game. Logan Vogelaar and Blake Sanders led the way at the plate with each having three hits. Adam Woodcock, Hudson Persails and Jacob Zyrowski each collected two hits in the game. Woodcock added his second home run of the day, a two run blast in the top of the fifth inning. Vogelaar also collected 4 RBI’s in the game to lead the Indians. With the win Chesaning improves to 15-3 overall and 8-0 in the MMAC. The Indians next play the Montrose Rams in game 1 of the Birch Run Invitational on Saturday, May 3rd.
