The Chesaning Indians traveled to Lakeville to play the Falcons on Monday, April 29th and came away with a game 1 win 5-2. The Indians scored 2 runs in the top of the 4th inning to open the scoring. Eli Keck led the inning off with a single and scored on a double by Nash Wendling. Later in the inning Blain Butcher walked and Blake Laskowski was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Wendling then scored when Adam Woodcock was also walked. The Indians added to there 2-0 lead in the top of the 6th inning. Luke Barta, Butcher and Laskowski led the inning off with 3 singles to load the bases. Woodcock then walked again to score Barta. Max Volk also walked to bring home Butcher. Eli Keck then singled to drive in Laskowski and increase Chesaning’s lead to 5-0. Lakeville then scored 2 unearned runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to make the final score 5-2. Brady Sager earned the win going the distance for the Indians. Sager gave up 3 hits, 3 walks and 2 unearned runs while striking out 7 batters. With the win Sager’s record improves to 4-1 on the season.
